Have you ever been bullied by your doctors? Do you ever wish an apple a day really did keep their sorry asses away? Welcome to the Granny Smith Society, where all we do is complain about doctors, document the ones that are unfriendly, and look out for our fellow disabled comrades. No one is coming to save us but ourselves and our allies. Let's take action instead of relying on the abusive systems that let these doctors become authority figures in the first place.

Soon a directory of abusive doctors will be available for those to reference so they know to go to a different doctor. A recommendations page will also be created. Stay tuned!

Here are some quick notes on what makes a doctor abusive. Please note that this is not an exhaustive list, and any medical professional that treats you poorly should be reported on and should face consequences.

• Fatphobia - Recommending weight loss instead of treatment when weight loss is not scientifically supported as a treatment. This goes especially for sleep apnea, diabetes, and mental conditions. Starvation diets or encouraging patients with eating disorders, current or historically, to diet will also land a doctor on this list.
• Racism - Suggesting non-white comrades have a higher pain tolerance, accusing non-white comrades of drug-seeking, and other general racist behaviors.
• Transphobia - Refusing to give gender-affirming care, reporting transgender individuals to parents and/or authorities, general transphobic behaviors.
• Aphobia - Attempting to treat asexuality as if it is a disease, suggesting conversaion therapy.
• Homophobia - Suggesting conversion therapy, reporting sexuality of the comrade to authorities or parents.
• General dismissive behavior

Any doctor behaving this way does not deserve to have patients/customers (depending on where you are in the world). A form will be uploaded to the site for individuals to fill out and then e-mail in. I will also be taking suggestions on how to make the site more accessible, as not every disabled or sick comrade has the same issue.

About the Webmaster

I am a disabled individual that has been dealing with doctors for many, many years. I have been abused by most of them and have always wished there was a directory I could consult to see if a doctor was abusive to patients or not. Most review sites are teeming with positive praise by people that only have to deal with the medical industry once in a while, or the reviews are falsified, or negative reviews are deleted. I've decided to create that website today.

Please note that I am disabled but still have to work to a degree to support my family. As such, I may not be able to update often or make a perfect website. Please be patient while I get everything set up. Thank you.
